The role
As a Health Physics Compliance Officer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring radiological safety across nuclear-powered submarine operations and associated facilities. You’ll support the safe delivery of submarines by providing oversight, reporting, and coordination that keeps teams compliant with strict regulatory standards.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team within the submarine enterprise, where your work directly contributes to safety, operational excellence, and national defence. You’ll also gain valuable experience in a highly regulated environment, supporting your career growth in nuclear safety, compliance, and project coordination.

This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, based at Devonport with flexible working arrangements available. Travel to other Babcock and customer sites will be expected.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) / Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) / Confidential Atomic security clearance for this role.
