Benefits for a Maintenance Supervisor * Use of a company van * Generous holiday package: 24 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), with additional days earned at milestones of service * Group life assurance and a solid pension plan * Online access to payslips and personal info for your convenience * Access to the Ainscough Advantage benefits platform – because we value our team’s well-being Key Responsibilities * Allocate work to our depot-based maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. * Manage daily staffing levels, including holiday schedules, absence management, and overtime coordination. * Oversee stock management to ensure optimal inventory levels for servicing and repairs. * Coordinate servicing and maintenance activities for trailers, cranes, and other equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. * Take a 'hands-on' approach, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on a variety of equipment, including mobile cranes, tower cranes, crawler cranes, HGVs, and light commercial vehicles. * Prioritise work orders effectively, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Uphold our commitment to health and safety policies and procedures, maintaining a controlled environment for all maintenance activities. * Maintain accurate documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements. Person Specification Education/Knowledge/Experience * Time served technician with a recognised industry qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ). * Supervisory experience in a maintenance environment. * Knowledge of mobile cranes, plant machinery, and heavy vehicles. * Experience in work allocation and stock management. Skills/Abilities * Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults on various equipment. * Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. * Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
