About the Role
\n
We are looking for an experienced and driven Production Manager to join our fast-paced ready meals operation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a changing manufacturing environment and is passionate about driving performance, leading teams, and supporting operational transformation.
\n
\n
You will take responsibility for 4 production lines, managing approximately 10-15 operatives per line alongside 4 Line Managers, ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and health & safety standards are consistently achieved.
\n
\n
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is comfortable managing change, supporting infrastructure developments, and playing a key role in new product introductions and site installations.

Key Responsibilities
\n
\n - Lead and manage daily operations across 4 production lines
\n - Directly manage and support 4 Line Managers and wider production teams
\n - Drive KPI performance across productivity, efficiency, waste, quality, and labour
\n - Ensure all quality, food safety, and health & safety standards are maintained
\n - Produce and deliver accurate production reports and operational updates
\n - Manage absence, attendance, and workforce performance effectively
\n - Participate in operational and cross-functional meetings
\n - Support business transformation initiatives, including process improvements and infrastructure changes
\n - Play an active role in new equipment installations and operational setup projects
\n - Support the introduction of new fresh and frozen ready meal products into production

About You
\n
\n - Previous experience in a Production Manager role within food manufacturing
\n - Experience managing multiple production lines and large teams
\n - Strong understanding of KPI management and continuous improvement
\n - Confident in health & safety, food quality, and compliance standards
\n - Comfortable working within a fast-changing and evolving environment
\n - Experience supporting installations, factory upgrades, or operational transformation projects is highly desirable
\n - Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
\n - Ready meals experience (fresh or frozen) would be advantageous
