If so, Alexander Hosea Primary School is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to work with SEN children in EYFS. This role may have the opportunity to extend beyond the end date, depending on the outcome of EHCP assessment.
The hours for this post are 27.5 per week, term time only. These hours will be Monday -Friday 5.5 hours a day (9am-3pm, including a 30 min break).
The successful candidate will require a good standard of general education, with GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above in Maths and English. Knowledge and experience of working with SEND children in a primary setting is essential.

Person Specification – Teaching Assistant (SEND)
Part Time – 27.5 hours per week.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE
Qualifications A good standard of general education.
3 or more GCSEs (or other equivalents) at grade C or above (including Mathematics and English).
Teaching assistant qualification at Level 3 or higher.
Work related experience and associated vocational training Previous and recent experience of working with SEN children in EYFS or ks1.
Experience of making observations of children’s learning in EYFS.
Willingness to engage in further training.
Experience of working with children with speech and language and communication and SEMH needs.
Experience of working with children with speech and language needs
Personal and professional Qualities High expectations for children SEND.
Ability to work co-operatively and flexibly in a rapidly changing work environment.
Ability to take direction and maintain the high expectations of the class teacher. Have confidence to lead impactful interventions, as deployed by teacher.
Ability to demonstrate initiative and be able to work in a creative, solution-focused way.
