Senior Lecturer - Architecture
Southampton Solent University is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Architecture to contribute to the delivery of our Architecture programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, practice-informed teaching, with experience of teaching within an ARB-accredited course.
The post holder will contribute to the continued development of the curriculum, enhancement of the student experience, and engagement with research, professional practice, and external partnerships. A specialism in sustainable conservation of listed buildings is welcomed.

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Architecture with experience of teaching on an ARB-accredited course. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching across a range of Architecture subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supporting the continued development of innovative and professionally relevant curricula.
Applicants should hold a postgraduate qualification in Architecture or a closely related discipline, and preferably a doctorate. A strong understanding of professional architectural practice and/or industry experience is highly desirable. An experience in sustainable conservation is particularly desirable.
The role requires flexibility to contribute across a range of modules, including theory practice and design studio teaching, and the ability to support students in developing both creative and technical competencies aligned with professional standards.
Starting salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience within the salary band stated.
The University offers 35 days annual leave in addition to public holidays and scheduled closure periods. Development pathways are available, including support to undertake a postgraduate teaching qualification where not already held.
