Job description
Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery, Governance & Business Analysis

Lead, manage, and deliver automation projects within the Pricing Portfolio, ensuring outcomes align with business priorities and IT strategy.
Conduct comprehensive business analysis, including process mapping, gap analysis, and requirements gathering to identify automation opportunities and optimise workflows.
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with product owners, stakeholders, and business analysts.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, risk registers, and business process documentation.
Oversee delivery across multiple workstreams including development, QA, support, integration, and automation.
Ensure strict adherence to governance frameworks, controls, and change management processes for business process and data automation projects.
Optimise resource utilisation to support project priorities and delivery capacity.
Stakeholder & Communication Management

Engage proactively with trading, risk, finance, and operational stakeholders to capture requirements and provide regular updates on automation project progress.
Facilitate alignment across cross-functional teams such as Product, QA, Development, Infrastructure, Support, and Business Analysis.
Deliver clear, concise reporting on status, risks, and dependencies to senior management, highlighting process and automation benefits.
Manage relationships with vendors and third-party providers, especially those delivering automation solutions.

Delivery Methodologies

Apply Agile, hybrid, or waterfall methodologies as appropriate to project context, with a focus on business process and data automation.
Support backlog prioritisation, sprint planning, and release readiness in partnership with product owners, QA, and business analysts.
Champion collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the delivery and analysis teams.
Risk & Issue Management

Identify, assess, and proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies across automation projects and systems.
Ensure prompt escalation and resolution of blockers impacting delivery timelines, especially those related to process and data automation.
Maintain a strong focus on production stability and readiness for post-release support of automated solutions.

Additional Accountabilities

Apply best-in-class project management and business analysis methodologies to ensure successful outcomes in process and data automation.
Maintain robust governance, stakeholder engagement, and communication to support project success.
Ensure all project management and business analysis deliverables (e.g., charter, plan, process maps, gap analysis, financials, governance, progress updates, risk register, change log, action plan) are completed and managed in accordance with the agreed framework.
Achieve objectives across customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team performance.
Identify, develop, and track metrics, measurements, and KPIs to assess performance against targets, industry standards, and strategic objectives, with a focus on automation benefits.
Leverage data-driven insights to monitor product and process performance, communicating findings to stakeholders.
Drive on-time, on-budget delivery of automation projects to agreed quality standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety goals are met.
Implement and manage change initiatives to achieve project targets, particularly in automation and process improvement.
Proactively manage and resolve risks and issues, developing mitigation plans and escalating where necessary.
Influence and foster alignment among teams, vendors, and business stakeholders regarding project scope and timelines.
Utilise technical knowledge to facilitate constructive dialogue with engineering and automation teams.
Translate complex ideas into clear documentation and artefacts to support decision-making and automation adoption.
Collaborate with the Product Owner to develop and articulate product strategy aligned with overall business objectives and automation opportunities.
Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of product and feature releases, managing trade-offs between scope, schedule, and resources, with a focus on automation.
Work with cross-functional teams to prioritise features and enhancements, particularly those related to process and data automation.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives informed by feedback, market trends, and performance metrics, especially in automation and process optimisation.

Skills & Experience

Proven record of successfully delivering complex IT, digital, and business process automation projects within a global organisation.
Extensive experience in business analysis, including process mapping, gap analysis, and requirements gathering for automation initiatives.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, testing, release management, and automation technologies.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across business, technical, and analytical teams.
Experience with Agile and hybrid delivery frameworks, particularly in automation projects.
Proficiency in project management and business analysis tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Power BI, Visio, BPMN).
Demonstrated ability in managing vendor-delivered projects, especially those related to automation and process optimisation.
Expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies for trading business, product delivery, and automation initiatives.
