Job description
Reporting to: Production Manager / Head of Cultivation Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible working hours) Holiday Entitlement: 25 days + local national bank holidays Job Description To assist in establishing and maintaining the site Production operations including but not limited to Drying, Trimming, Labelling, Packaging (both manufactured cannabis product and imported cannabis-based product), contamination control, facility hygiene and waste control. The role will overlap with the cultivation activities and GDP activities. Daily Activities The role requires the development of a process and performing manufacturing operations in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in production. * Participation in all aspects of the QMS (including, but not limited to, Change Controls, CAPAs, Internal Audits, Incident and Deviations and Risk Assessments) * Performing production tasks, including, but not limited to, Drying, Trimming, Packaging, Labelling, Kit Cleaning, Room Clearance and Set up. * Identifying areas for optimisation and implementing continuous improvement strategies. * Contributing to the creation of procedures for the production department. * Monitoring and controlling environmental conditions in key areas. * Recording information efficiently and in alignment with internal processes. * Performing cleaning, maintenance and calibration. * Contributing to Health and Safety of the facility and personnel. * Collaboration with other departments. * Assistance with Cultivation following training. * Development of “Green” Initiatives to increase the company’s sustainability. Key Outcomes * Adherence of SOPs, work instructions pertaining to Production operations. * Completion of the Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) pertaining to Production operations. * Ensuring traceability of batches from Cultivation and/or Warehouse. * Safe working environment by adherence to PPE and other Health and Safety requirements. * Regulatory compliance by adhering to all requirements via SOPs. Administration * Documentation writing including protocols, reports and presentations. * Authoring of procedures, forms, and policies. Role Specific Competency Requirements * Develop an understanding GMP regulations and manufacturing operations. * Develop an understanding Home Office Regulations as needed to support the business. * Adherence to GMP standards, regulatory requirements and safety protocols. * Problem solving and quickly addressing production challenges. * Collaboration with the production team and other departments. * Personal Integrity as part of code of professional conduct. * Drive and Resilience. * Developing Self and Others. * Managing Change within the department and wider business. * Continuous Improvement mindset to identify opportunities for cost saving, efficiency or yield advantages. * Analysis and Decision-making mindset to understand data and trends. Training and Development * Foster and promote a positive culture of quality and compliance within the site and comply with company policies. * To deliver training on the Cultivation and Production Systems. * Develop, enhance and update the Operations activities associated with the cultivation, manufacturing and production of medicinal cannabis. * To advocate and drive continuous improvement within the company. #J-18808-Ljbffr
