A University Technical College in Wolverhampton is seeking to appoint a Physics Teacher to join its Science department from September. This is a full-time role within a specialist setting that focuses on STEM education, technical learning, and progression into engineering and related industries.
Physics is a central subject within the curriculum, supporting students in developing scientific understanding alongside practical and technical application.
You will teach Physics across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, delivering lessons that cover key areas including forces, electricity, energy, waves, and mechanics.
The role includes both theoretical teaching and practical laboratory work, helping students apply scientific principles to real-world technical contexts.
You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Physics examinations, supporting them in developing analytical thinking, mathematical application, and problem-solving skills.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues across Science and technical subjects to support cross-curricular learning opportunities.
Teach Physics across KS4 and KS5
Deliver lessons covering key areas of Physics
Plan and supervise practical laboratory activities
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Physics examinations
Assess student work and provide detailed feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Maintain safe laboratory environments
Contribute to STEM enrichment and technical learning activities

Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong subject knowledge in Physics
Experience teaching Physics at secondary level

Experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Interest in STEM enrichment or technical education
