Job description
Are you a skilled software lead with strong experience in modern web platform engineering, eager to work on innovative enterprise solutions? Do you thrive in dynamic, diverse projects where your expertise shapes high-impact digital transformations? Are you product-focused and passionate about delivering engaging, user-centric solutions that drive business success? Do you want to lead a talented team of software engineers and shape technical solutions that build on your knowledge of modern engineering and architectural approaches using a wide range of technologies including .NET Core, Blazor, React and Angular, working in harmony with cloud services including AWS, Azure and Firebase? Would you like to apply AI, ML and modern data-engineering approaches to real-world solutions? If you’re answering ‘yes’ to these questions, we’d love you to read on to learn more about the Technical Lead vacancy we’re currently hiring for! * Hybrid/ Remote with minimum one office day per month (Nottingham) First and foremost we’re seeking someone with extensive experience in modern web application development who is either currently in or looking to step up to a technical leadership role, with a preference for someone with experience in consultancy and/or B2B client-facing roles. You’ll need to possess solid .NET Core experience and you’ll also need to have strong working knowledge of cloud platforms, systems architecture and data engineering along with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React. You’ll have experience working in products with well-thought-out, practical solutions solving real-world challenges and you’re eager to expand your impact even further across our client base. As a Tech Lead at Atomic you’ll have direct responsibility across multiple client projects. The ability to quickly switch context is crucial and you’ll need to be adept and experienced at communicating with technical and non-technical clients. You’ll navigate technical discussion and be able to work both together and independently to deliver exceptional quality while being a voice for the direction of Atomic’s technical landscape. Additionally, you’ll be expected to mentor more junior engineers and advocate for improvement and positive change. We’re looking for someone who is truly passionate about crafting software and solutions that have a meaningful impact. You’re deeply committed to delivering the highest level of service for our clients, creating products that significantly enhance the experience of end users. If you feel your skills and experience are what we’re looking for, then we’d love to hear from you. Atomic is a full-service technology consultancy and trusted partner, helping clients design and build innovative and tailored digital products. We provide expert services to our partners, spanning product strategy, design, engineering, delivery, digital marketing and support and maintenance. We partner with the world’s most ambitious brands to shape the future of digital experiences across web, mobile, and connected platforms, including Rolls Royce, JCB, Vodafone and Centre Parcs. At atomic, you’re not just joining a company — you’re becoming an owner, building meaningful products alongside people who take pride in their work. This position can be largely remote but we do think some time in our Nottingham office will be needed in order to be successful. You will be required to undertake our screening and pre-employment checks, which includes a criminal record (DBS) check. Any adverse check may result in an offer of employment being withdrawn. We do not hold a sponsors licence therefore you must have an existing right to work in the UK in order for us to progress your application. We put people at the heart of everything we do At atomic, you’re not just joining a company, you’re becoming an owner, building meaningful products alongside people who take pride in their work. Take a look at our careers video and hear from the people working at the heart of what we do. Ownership, growth, and great benefits await... Being employee-owned means that, through an Employee Ownership Trust, each of us owns a small part of atomic, so we’re all deeply invested in our success. Remote & hybrid working We offer flexibility to work where you perform best, while staying connected at one of our UK hubs. Flexible hours We support flexible hours to promote work/life balance, with core collaboration hours from 10am to 4pm. Vitality health insurance You’ll receive extensive private medical care through Vitality, providing access to private healthcare and a private GP, along with dental, hearing & optical care. L&D is a priority at atomic — you’ll get one day per sprint plus support, budget, and resources to achieve your growth goals. Generous annual leave entitlement An extra day off for your birthday plus the option to buy and sell up to 5 days a year. Enhanced family leave policies We provide enhanced maternity and paternity pay. Our bereavement policy offers support during one of life's most challenging times, ensuring you are cared for when needed. Electric car salary sacrifice scheme In partnership with Octopus Electric Vehicles, you can put a brand new EV on your driveway. Our hiring process. Detailed below is what our hiring process typically looks like (it can vary dependent on the role you’re applying for). Initial chat An informal video call with our Head of People. Our aim is to find out a bit more about you and to establish if you are a good match for the role. We will of course tell you more about atomic as well. First interview A video interview with the Hiring Manager to really drill down into your skills and experience. During your interview you’ll learn much more about the vacancy and the department in which the role sits. Technical exercise Some form of test or practical exercise where you can demonstrate your technical skills relevant to the role you’re interested in. It’s a great opportunity to showcase how good you are! In-person interview A final interview where you’ll get to visit our office and meet some of the team. We want you to be 100% confident you’re joining the right company - and we’re confident you will be after meeting us in person! #J-18808-Ljbffr
