The Role As a Trainee Management Accountant, you will play a key support role within the Management Accounting team while developing your technical knowledge and professional confidence. You’ll assist with the preparation of management accounts, budgeting, and financial reporting, while working closely with senior team members who are committed to your development and progression. Key Responsibilities Management Accounting & Financial Support * Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts * Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes * Analysing financial data to help inform client decision‑making * Working with clients across a range of sectors Systems, Processes & Reporting * Preparing bookkeeping records and VAT returns * Using cloud‑based accounting software to maintain accurate records * Supporting process improvement and efficient ways of working Learning & Development * Gaining hands‑on experience under the guidance of experienced accountants * Actively engaging in structured training and professional development * Developing strong technical, analytical, and communication skills About You Essential Experience & Qualifications * Studying AAT, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA * At least 12 months’ experience in a role involving: o Bookkeeping o VAT return preparation o Preparation of management accounts * Competent using Xero, Sage, and Excel Personal Attributes * Growth‑minded and keen to learn * Client‑focused with a strong sense of integrity * Resilient and confident doing the right thing, even when it’s challenging * Able to build genuine working relationships * A collaborative team player with a positive attitude * Committed to making a positive impact in everything you do What’s on Offer * Permanent, full‑time role (36.5 hours per week) * Salary: £25,530 – £29,000 (dependent on experience) * Chester‑le‑Street or Jesmond office locations * Four‑day working week and flexible working hours (on successful completion of probation) * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (with additional accrual after year three) * Your birthday off every year * Paid volunteering time to support causes you care about * Team development days and social initiatives * A supportive, progressive culture focused on growth, learning, and innovation #J-18808-Ljbffr
