Contract Monitoring Officer Norfolk County Council Level: 9399 | Secondment/Fixed‑term (12 months) | Part‑time (29.6 hrs/week) | Salary: £43,822‑£48,227 pro rata per annum | Grade: K | Location: County Hall An exciting opportunity is available to join our innovative performance management team within the Integrated Commissioning function of Children’s Services. We have an established team which monitors the quality of commissioned (and some in‑house) residential settings for children and young people, including registered children’s homes, supported accommodation and 38‑week joint funded placements. The team works closely with a range of stakeholders to ensure our wide range of providers are delivering high‑quality services which improve outcomes for Norfolk’s children and young people and help deliver our shared ambition – that Norfolk is a place where all children and young people can flourish. Responsibilities * Carrying out analysis of statutory and regulatory reports for residential settings. * Gathering, collating and analysing a range of documentation and undertaking inspections of a range of settings across the residential portfolio. * Report writing and identifying opportunities for improvements. * Ensuring that the voice of children and young people is heard. * Working directly and collaboratively with commissioning and operational colleagues and providers to identify and address concerns arising around a range of issues including safeguarding and quality of care and/or support. For the role, we are looking for someone with a high degree of professional curiosity, tenacity, flexibility, a keen eye for detail, an ability to analyse and present complex information, and great relationship‑building skills. We are ideally seeking someone with operational experience within a residential environment, and knowledge of appropriate regulatory frameworks is essential.
