Job description
Project Manager – Nature Based Solutions Location: Midlands & South / East England Working Pattern: Hybrid / Flexible Options Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Start Date: May / June 2026 Opportunity Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is recruiting a Project Manager to join our Solutions By Nature (SBN) team. This is not a typical project management role. SBN is focused on delivering nature-based solutions — working with natural systems to create sustainable, resilient infrastructure. Our projects include Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), river restoration, fish passes, green infrastructure, and Integrated Constructed Wetlands (ICWs). Working across some of the UK’s most environmentally sensitive and visually impactful landscapes, you will play a key role in delivering projects that directly benefit ecosystems and communities. Why Join Binnies At Binnies, we offer more than just a role — we provide a long-term career within a collaborative, inclusive environment that supports development, progression, and work-life balance. Benefits * Private medical insurance and income protection * Life assurance * Enhanced pension contributions * Car allowance (role dependent) * Annual leave purchase scheme * Structured career pathways and ongoing professional development * Annual salary reviews and performance‑related bonus opportunities * Access to high street discounts and gym membership schemes * Cycle to Work and Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice schemes * Mental health and wellbeing support * A range of additional flexible benefits About the Role As Project Manager, you will take full accountability for the successful delivery of nature‑based construction projects across the Midlands and Southern England. Responsibilities * Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across design and delivery * Planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling projects across scope, time, cost, quality, and risk * Managing project budgets, programmes, and resources to achieve or exceed financial targets * Supporting tender submissions, including commercial and quality responses * Developing delivery strategies aligned to client objectives * Managing contracts across a range of delivery models * Identifying and mitigating technical and commercial risks * Driving continuous improvement and innovation across project delivery * Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships * Chairing client and project meetings * Ensuring Health, Safety & Wellbeing is embedded across all activities * Supporting wider design & build project delivery across Binnies where required About You We are looking for an individual with a strong track record in project and contract management, ideally within the water or environmental sector. Qualifications * A professional qualification in Project Management and/or an environmental or engineering discipline * Experience delivering Design & Build (D&B) projects * Strong understanding of commercial models and tender development * Experience managing programmes (e.g. Microsoft Project or equivalent) * Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities * Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams * Experience in contract management and administration * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills * A proactive, solutions‑focused approach to problem solving * Understanding of health, safety, compliance, and CDM requirements * Experience within the water sector or a relevant transferable sector * A genuine interest in environmental and sustainable construction solutions Apply If you are looking to deliver meaningful projects that work with nature and create long‑term environmental impact, we would welcome your application. Apply now to join Binnies and be part of a team shaping the future of sustainable infrastructure. #J-18808-Ljbffr
