Job Title: Vice Principal: Quality of Education

Location: Weavers Academy, Wellingborough

Salary: L18-22

Start Date: September

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full Time

Application Closing Date: Wednesday 20th May

Interview Date: Friday 22nd May

About You:

When curriculum, teaching and inclusion align, outcomes change lives. Weavers Academy is seeking a Vice Principal of Quality Education to join an ambitious, high‑performing senior leadership team and drive measurable improvements in student outcomes. You will be an experienced and credible senior leader with a strong track record of improving teaching, curriculum quality and assessment through evidence‑informed practice. With a clear moral purpose, you will champion inclusion, equity and high expectations for all pupils, particularly the most disadvantaged. Collaborative and influential, you will inspire leaders and teachers through high‑quality professional learning and rigorous evaluation.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven record of impact: recent and demonstrable success in leading and securing sustained improvements in pupil outcomes at Academy level.

  • A commitment to equity: the ability to remove barriers and secure high achievement for disadvantaged pupils, pupils with SEND, those known to children’s social care, and high‑ability pupils.

  • The ability to challenge and develop staff: a proven capacity to maintain high expectations, avoid unconscious lowering of ambition, and ensure learning effectively stretches and supports all pupils.

  • An ambitious moral purpose: an unwavering belief that all pupils - including the most vulnerable and the most able - deserve to be challenged and supported to achieve excellence.

About the Senior Leadership Team:

The Senior Leadership Team at Weavers Academy is a collaborative, experienced and values‑driven group of leaders, united by a clear moral purpose and a relentless focus on improving outcomes for every pupil. Working closely together, the team provides strong strategic direction across teaching, curriculum, inclusion, behaviour and professional development, modelling high expectations and evidence‑informed practice. There is a culture of trust, challenge and professional respect, where leaders are committed to developing others, removing barriers to learning and sustaining continuous improvement.
