This is equivalent to a full‑time salary of £39,975.00 to £48,126.00 based on 37.5 hours over 52 weeks Contract Type: Permanent - Term Time Only Imagine starting your day at our Ofsted Outstanding School, knowing you’re stepping into a role that not only makes a real difference but also gives you the freedom to enjoy life outside of work. With term‑time only hours, this opportunity is ideal for working parents, people who love to travel, or anyone who values having time to pursue hobbies, recharge, and live well. It’s a rare chance to build a meaningful career without sacrificing the balance that keeps you at your best. You’ll be welcomed into a vibrant, supportive environment filled with passionate Team Members and joyful pupils. As part of our dedicated Integrated Therapy Team, you’ll play a key role in supporting Children and Young People with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, work that is purposeful, rewarding, and genuinely impactful. Your days will be varied and fulfilling. Each morning begins with a team briefing where you’ll share updates, celebrate progress, and set the tone for the day. From there, you might deliver a 1:1 therapy session, run a small‑group intervention, or join a classroom to offer seamless therapeutic support. Every interaction is an opportunity to help a child feel seen, understood, and valued. Collaboration is woven into everything we do. Alongside your direct work with pupils, you’ll support education Team Members with therapeutic strategies, work closely with our onsite Creative Arts Therapist, and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings with parents, Teachers, and external professionals. You’ll also have protected time for clinical supervision, mentorship, and ongoing development, all within a nurturing, forward‑thinking setting. The Grange School isn’t just a workplace; it’s a community. A place where your expertise genuinely transforms young lives, and where you can thrive in a role that respects your passion, your wellbeing, and your life beyond the school gates. A day in the life of a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist will involve: * Taking a trauma informed approach to clinical work. You’ll work with a small caseload of pupils who will have varying Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, Learning disabilities and Autism. You’ll be able to do this through 1:1 support, classroom work and group sessions. * Taking an active role in the admissions process for new pupils, including helping to write pen portraits. * Working with the wider team to offer the best support to our pupils, including our onsite creative art therapists, teachers, and teaching assistants, and taking part in Multidisciplinary team meetings. This work may include supervisions, training, or taking part in projects related to the work we do. * Administration. Whilst doing all your great work with the pupils, we’ll need you to keep their records up to date and carry out all the administrative tasks you’d expect to come with this role. Don’t worry though, during the school holidays you can work from home so that you have the space to do this without it impacting the time you spend with the pupils. To be a successful Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you’ll need: * A recognised Degree in Speech and Language Therapy, along with HCPC Registration and membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language. * Great experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist. * The desire and confidence to run supervisions and offer training and support to other speech and language therapists. * Good IT skills – We’ll train you on how to use our systems, but it would help if you had a working understanding of using Microsoft packages like Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams. * A full driving licence. Whilst this role is based in a single location, there will be times that you need to attend meetings offsite which would require the use of a vehicle. If you have experience working within the NHS, the best way for us to describe the level of experience needed for this role would be to consider it a “Band 6” position. In return for your time, you’ll get: * Holidays –You’ll get 28 days annual leave, including public holidays. * Pension scheme– Our pension scheme is based on you paying in 5%, and us adding 3%. * Learning & Development Opportunities– We provide comprehensive learning opportunities for team members to develop themselves. * Discounts– You’ll have access to brilliant discounts through the Blue Light Card and our own employee benefits platform. * Wellbeing Support– Your wellbeing is always our priority. You’ll have access to mental health and wellbeing support. On top of this, our therapies team offers a monthly confidential check in clinic, and group reflective practice sessions. * Cycle2Work-The cycle to work scheme enables you to buy a bicycle at a discounted rate. * DBS– As this role required you to have an enhanced DBS carried out, we will cover this cost. * After 12 months service- You’ll also be eligible for our Medicash scheme which covers a wide range of medical, health and wellbeing expenses (Including immediate access to a GP!). You’ll get life assurance paid at x2 your annual salary. Please note that as part of our safer recruitment processes, successful applicants will be subject to pre-employment checks including an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check, and online and social media checks, and reference validation. At Phoenix Learning and Care, we pride ourselves on our diverse workforce and ensuring we have an inclusive environment for all our team members. We remain committed to ensuring our teams can bring their true selves to work without risk or fear of discrimination. J-18808-Ljbffr
