Job description
Overview South, South East & London (Middlesex base | Regional travel required). Lead clinically. Influence strategically. Shape services at scale. At Change Grow Live, we don’t separate clinical excellence from service delivery—we bring them together to create safer, more effective systems of care. Guided by our values—Be open, be compassionate and be bold—we are building services that are built on evidence and compassion, and rooted in communities, aligned to our 2030 ambitions. We are now looking for a Regional Lead Nurse—a senior clinical leader who can operate across complex systems, influence at pace, and ensure clinical quality is consistently delivered across a diverse regional portfolio. Why this role matters This is not a single-service leadership role. You will operate at a regional and strategic level, working across multiple services to ensure clinical practice is safe, effective, consistent and continuously improving. You will work at the interface of clinical leadership, operational delivery and system-wide partnerships—ensuring services are aligned, compliant and future-ready. Who We’re Looking For You’re an experienced clinical leader who is confident operating beyond a single service. You will bring: * NMC registration with a current PIN * Significant experience in senior clinical leadership roles within substance misuse, health, social care or related fields * Strong understanding of clinical governance, CQC standards and regulatory frameworks * Experience leading teams and influencing across multi-site or regional services * Confidence working with complex needs, dual diagnosis and high-risk populations * The ability to operate strategically while remaining connected to front-line delivery * You are someone who can hold standards, influence decisions and lead change. What Sets This Role Apart * You will lead clinical practice across a region—not just within a service * You will influence both operational delivery and strategic direction * You will work across multiple systems, stakeholders and priorities * You will play a key role in service development, mobilisation and future growth The Details * Salary SCP 48-53 * Hours 37.5 hours per week * Contract Permanent * Expected start date July 2026 (subject to notice periods) * If your contractual base is in London, you will also receive London Weighting in line with Change Grow Live policy. Please note Salary is subject to review in line with the 2025/26 pay award. * Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. What You’ll Be Doing * Lead clinical practice across a region—You'll provide senior clinical leadership across services—ensuring nursing practice is consistent, high-quality and aligned to national standards and governance frameworks. * Drive quality, safety and improvement—You'll oversee clinical audits, performance and governance—ensuring services meet CQC standards, clinical best practice and continuous improvement expectations. * Shape and support service development—You'll work alongside senior leaders to develop new models of care, support service mobilisation and contribute to bids and system growth. * Lead through complexity—You’ll operate across multiple services, teams and stakeholders—balancing priorities, navigating challenge and maintaining clinical oversight at scale. * Develop clinical capability—You’ll support and supervise Lead Nurses and clinical teams—building capability, strengthening leadership and embedding a culture of learning and accountability. * Influence across systems—You’ll build strong relationships with commissioners, partners and stakeholders, representing CGL clinically and shaping how services are delivered across the region. What We Offer We invest in our people so they can lead with impact * 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), rising annually to 30 days * Paid ‘Wellness’ hour each week along with a ‘Wellness’ hub and Employee Assist Programme * Contributory pension scheme * Annual reimbursement of your NMC fee * Dedicated and protected professional development time * Regional Lead Nurse Clinical and Peer support meetings * Access to excellent training programmes including the RCNi learning platform * A great selection of benefits incl. discounts for shopping, cinema, holidays, etc. * A friendly and supportive team * National Nurse meetings * Training, career development & progression opportunities * Protected monthly CPD Our People Commitment * Creating the conditions for success for our people * Working together to deliver high-quality learning and organisational development * Building inclusive cultures where people feel a strong sense of belonging Our 2030 Ambition * Being built on evidence and compassion * Being rooted in communities * Developing a workforce that is skilled, supported and future-ready * Using insight and learning to continuously improve outcomes Please ensure that when completing your application form and supporting statement, you reflect on the details outlined in the job description. This will help us understand how your skills and experiences align with the requirements of the role. Direct applications only; we will not be engaging agencies for this vacancy. We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if we receive a high number of applications, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Ready to lead at scale? If you’re ready to step into a role where you can shape clinical practice, influence systems and lead meaningful change across a region—we’d love to hear from you. CGL points 48 to 53 (£53,329.99 - £58,910.78) N/A - Outside London Weighting Area 14/5/2026 Naz Mahmud | Naz.Mahmud@cgl.org.uk This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level. #J-18808-Ljbffr
