A sixth form academy in Dudley is seeking to appoint a Spanish Teacher to join its Languages department from September. This is a full-time role within a post-16 focused environment that values academic achievement, independent learning, and progression to higher education.
Spanish is a growing subject within the academy, with students studying the language at both GCSE resit and A-Level.
You will teach Spanish across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, delivering lessons that develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
Students will be supported in building vocabulary, improving grammatical accuracy, and developing confidence in communication and cultural understanding.
You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Spanish examinations, helping them develop strong written responses and spoken language skills.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery and assessment.
Teach Spanish across KS4 and KS5
Deliver lessons focused on communication and language development
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Spanish examinations
Assess student work and provide structured feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Support independent learning and exam preparation
Contribute to departmental planning and shared resources
Promote engagement and participation in lessons
This sixth form academy in Dudley provides a focused and supportive learning environment with high expectations for student achievement. Students are encouraged to work independently and prepare for progression into higher education or employment.
The Languages department works collaboratively to maintain strong teaching standards and provide effective support for learners.
Leadership supports professional development and values subject expertise across departments.

Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Spanish
Ability to teach GCSE Spanish
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to support independent learning
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Spanish
Experience working in a post-16 setting
Ability to teach an additional language
