Job description
Fuel your future in sport and storytelling with a dynamic Marketing Apprenticeship powering the Oaklands Wolves brand. Role Purpose Oaklands College is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative Marketing Apprentice (Content Creation) to join the marketing team, supporting the promotion of the Oaklands Wolves Sports Academies. This role is designed to develop practical marketing and content creation skills while working towards the Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship standard. The apprentice will primarily focus on creating engaging content across a range of channels to support student recruitment, brand awareness and commercial activity linked to the Wolves Sports Academies. Alongside content production, the role will also include general marketing administration in support of the wider marketing team. Key Responsibilities Content Creation • Create and support engaging content for the Oaklands Wolves Sports Academies. • Assist with photography, short-form video, written content and basic graphics. • Capture content at events, training sessions and competitions. • Contribute ideas for creative and relevant content. • Support content planning and scheduling. Digital & Social Media Support • Assist with posting content on platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and YouTube. • Support basic video editing and copywriting. • Monitor and report on engagement and performance. Brand & Marketing Support • Ensure content aligns with Oaklands College and Wolves Academies brand guidelines. • Support wider marketing campaigns and activity. • Assist with updating digital platforms under supervision. General Marketing Administration • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the marketing team. • Organise and maintain marketing and content assets. • Support preparation for events and open days. Apprenticeship & Development • Work towards successful completion of the Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship. • Attend all training and assessment activities. • Apply learning in the workplace to develop professional skills. Person Specification Essential • Interest in marketing, content creation and sport. • Creative approach and enthusiasm for social media. • Good written communication skills. • Willingness to learn and take feedback. • Basic IT and digital skills. • Strong organisation and time management. • GCSE English and Maths (or willingness to work towards). Desirable • Experience creating social media content. • Knowledge of tools such as Canva, Adobe or CapCut. • Interest in sport or sports education. • Awareness of current social media trends.
