Core Responsibilities A-Level Academic Delivery: Teaching A-Level Chemistry (OCR, AQA, or Edexcel), ensuring students master complex theoretical frameworks from thermodynamics to transition metal chemistry. Advanced Practical Supervision: Guiding students through sophisticated practical endorsements (CPAC), focusing on precision, safety, and high-level data interpretation in organic and inorganic contexts. HE & Career Mentorship: Providing expert guidance for UCAS applications, particularly for competitive pathways such as Medicine, Chemical Engineering, and Veterinary Science. Scholarly Inquiry: Leading seminars that explore contemporary chemistry—such as green synthesis and nanotechnology—encouraging students to engage with global scientific challenges beyond the exam specification. Assessment Excellence: Implementing rigorous mock examination cycles and providing granular feedback on calculation techniques and evaluative writing. Requirements include: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS , with a strong honours degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline.
