Job description
PLEASE NOTE THAT CANDIDATES WHO ARE PRESENTLY UNDERTAKING THE DISTRICT NURSING QUALIFICATION WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POST A vacancy has arisen for a qualified specialist practitioner within the District nursing service in Clackmannan & Stirling Health & Social Care Partnership. This is a permanent band 6 post as per Agenda for Change. The post holder will be required to work across the geographical area and can be asked to cover other caseloads within the area. Weekend working and variable shift pattern is required on a flexible rotational basis. The post holder will have a District Nursing qualification (degree or diploma) or be working towards a District Nursing Qualification and have relevant experience within community nursing. It is expected that if the Advanced Clinical Examination (ACE) or Advanced Nurse Prescribing qualification is not currently held it will be completed in the first year of being in post. It is desirable that you have some experience in leading/managing a team and also in caseload management. You must be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate an ability to work with different professional groups. It is desirable that the successful applicant be able to demonstrate an interest in quality improvement work and change management. They should also have a good awareness of national policies and a willingness to take an active lead in the implementation of these policies locally. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post. The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. More information on this scheme can be found at www.disclosurescotland.co.uk. As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
