Proteus Digital is a human-first social media marketing agency based in Cardiff. We build real, human, performance-led content for ambitious businesses through monthly campaigns on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn. We work with clients all across the world on social media strategy, content production, Meta ads and website builds. We're a young, fast-moving team and we're growing fast. This isn't a big agency where you disappear into a department. Everyone here has real responsibility and real impact from day one.

The Role

This role will involve managing client social media accounts, running Meta ad campaigns and leading the creative output of the agency. Starting with a structured onboarding period where you'll learn how Proteus operates, how we think about content and how we deliver results for clients.

Following your probationary period, you'll take on greater ownership of the business. Managing clients more independently, leading creative decisions and working directly alongside the founder to grow the agency. The long term goal is for the right person to become an operational and creative leader within Proteus.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling and manually posting content across Instagram and TikTok for all clients. Creating graphics, carousels and static posts using Canva or Adobe. Building, launching and managing Meta ad campaigns on behalf of clients. Conducting social media and content research (trends, hooks, formats, what's performing and why). Running Answer the Public and keyword research to inform strategy. Keeping up with platform and algorithm changes across Meta and TikTok. Managing the day-to-day needs of client accounts. Learning Meta ads inside out and becoming genuinely excellent at it.

Skills Required

We do not expect you to arrive knowing everything. We expect you to arrive wanting to learn everything.

Essential:

Based in Cardiff with a genuine desire to work from our office at The Maltings.

A real passion for social media. You use it, you think about it, you understand how it works.

Some graphic design experience, Canva is fine, Adobe is a bonus.

An interest in paid social and Meta ads, you don't need to be an expert yet but you need to want to be.

Strong written communication.

The ability to manage multiple clients and tasks without dropping the ball.

Desirable:

Experience in a social media, marketing or agency environment.

Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager.

An understanding of content strategy and performance metrics.

Additional Information

Location - The Maltings, East Tyndall Street, Cardiff CF24 5EA. Office based. This role is not remote.

Hours - Part time, 24-28 hours per week across 5 days, with a genuine and structured pathway to full time after the probationary period.

Start date - 1st July 2026

Suggested date for interview - 8th to 15th of June 2026
