Job description
Food Production Operative - Nights Full-time temp-to-perm vacancy Nottingham based (easy access via public transport) £13.31/h starting pay Immediate start!!! Overview: We are seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our production team as ** Food Production Operatives (Nights)** at our fresh produce facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and has experience working in food production. The role involves working in a chilled environment to ensure the efficient preparation and handling of fresh produce. Responsibilities: - Prepare, handle, and process fresh produce according to food safety and quality guidelines. - Conduct manual handling tasks, including lifting, moving, and sorting fresh produce. - Operate cutting tools or machinery to cut and trim fresh produce to specifications. - Work in a chilled environment, maintaining the freshness and safety of all food products. - Follow established health and safety regulations and adhere to hygiene protocols. - Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines. - Perform routine quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards. - Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow. Required skills & experience: - Experience in a food production environment or similar role. - Ability to work effectively in a chilled environment. - Comfortable with standing for long periods, performing repetitive tasks, and manual handling. - A strong focus on quality and attention to detail. - Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in food production. Day-to-Day duties: - Start your shift in the evening, ensuring you are prepared to work in a chilled environment. - Begin production line tasks, which may include washing, cutting, trimming, and inspecting fresh produce. - Use manual handling techniques to transport and position products as required. - Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace throughout the shift. - Regularly check the quality of produce and report any discrepancies to your supervisor. - Collaborate with team members to ensure production targets and deadlines are met. - End your shift with a recap of the day’s achievements and prepare the workspace for the next team. The basic working hours are 20:00 - 05:30 5 nights / week (Thursdays & Fridays off) The starting pay rate is £13.31/h. If you`re interested in the position, please apply now!!!
