Key Responsibilities * Preparation of media, buffers, and sterile solutions * Operating autoclaves and sterilizing glassware and plasticware * Aseptic aliquoting within Class II MBSC * Operating automated and semiautomated laboratory equipment * Calibration of pH meters and balances * Using digital ordering systems and replenishing consumables * Supporting glasswash operations and general laboratory housekeeping * Monitoring expiry dates and ensuring compliance with GLS, GxP and SHE standards Requirements * Willingness to learn and develop * Experience with aseptic technique or stock management is an advantage * Customer service experience is required * Ability to work independently and collaboratively * Good knowledge of Microsoft Office * Previous laboratory experience and understanding of SHE requirements Working Conditions * Labbased role located in the basement area of the Discovery Centre in Cambridge * Manual, handson work with regular standing * Occasional lifting and movement of laboratory materials * Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:00 What We Offer Here at Avantor, we focus on you.
