As part of the wider academic community at the University of Leicester, you will also undertake appropriate administrative and leadership responsibilities, support University activities, and help foster an inclusive, supportive and professionally enriching environment for students and colleagues alike.
About you
You will hold a good first degree in engineering or a closely related discipline, together with a PhD or equivalent research or industrial experience in a relevant field of electrical and electronic engineering. You will have a developing or established track record of high‑quality research publications and the ability to plan and deliver a substantive research programme, including the preparation of competitive funding proposals. A commitment to professional development, including working towards or holding professional registration and a recognised academic teaching qualification, is essential.
You will be an effective and engaging educator, able to inspire and motivate students through inclusive teaching, supervision and assessment practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, alongside the ability to manage competing demands and work collegially within a diverse academic community.
