Job description
Overview We are recruiting on behalf of our client a leading law firm in Edinburgh for an experienced Legal Executive Assistant. This role supports senior stakeholders by managing diaries, coordinating meetings, managing confidential communications, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. What you’ll do * Diary and email management, including meeting coordination and document preparation * Handling new client enquiries and maintaining accurate records * Supporting lawyers and paralegals with case management, billing, and document handling * Liaising with clients and third parties professionally via email, phone, and in person * Preparing letters of engagement, expense claims, and invoices * Assisting with marketing, business development, and internal systems updates * Organising travel, accommodation, and seminar materials * Providing cover and support across the team during absences and holidays What You’ll Need * Proven experience as a Personal or Executive Assistant, ideally within Private Client * Able to deal with pressure/meets tight deadlines * Excellent communication skills; confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels * Adaptable to changing workflows/varying hours * Uses initiative and works independently to improve efficiency and support fee earners * Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities * Proficient in Microsoft Word (track changes/mail merge), Outlook (diary/tasks), Excel, and PowerPoint, with a willingness to enhance IT skills * Familiarity with Aderant, DMS, and BigHand would be advantageous What You’ll Receive * Life Assurance (option to increase) * Income Protection * Critical Illness * Health Cash Plan * Health Assessment What’s Next?
