About the Role This is a unique opportunity for an experienced retail leader to take on a key role within a luxury brand presence in Harrods. As Assistant Store Manager, you will act as the most senior representative of the brand on site, with full responsibility for the day‑to‑day operations, team leadership, and client experience within the location. You will work closely with the City Manager, ensuring the brand vision is translated into excellence on the shop floor. Role Purpose To lead and develop the Harrods team, driving commercial performance and delivering an exceptional client experience, while acting as the main point of contact for the brand within the store. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Ownership * Act as the senior brand representative within Harrods * Lead, motivate, and develop the team to achieve high performance * Create a culture of accountability, ownership, and excellence * Ensure strong communication and alignment with the City Manager Performance & Operations * Drive sales performance and consistently achieve targets * Monitor KPIs and translate them into clear daily actions * Ensure operational excellence and adherence to brand standards * Oversee stock, VM, and overall shop floor presentation Client Experience * Deliver and uphold an elevated luxury client experience * Lead by example in clienteling and relationship building * Develop long‑term, loyal client relationships * Ensure consistency across all client touchpoints People Development * Coach and develop team members through regular feedback * Identify and nurture talent within the team * Build a strong, engaged, and high‑performing team environment Leadership Style * Confident, hands‑on, and lead‑from‑the‑front approach * Strong sense of ownership and accountability * High emotional intelligence and ability to influence * Ability to operate autonomously while staying aligned with leadership What Success Looks Like * Strong and consistent sales performance * A highly engaged and motivated team * Exceptional client experience and retention * Seamless execution of brand standards within Harrods * Clear ownership and leadership presence on the shop floor Profile & Skills * Previous experience in a senior retail leadership role (Assistant Manager or similar) within luxury retail * Proven experience working within Ready‑to‑Wear (RTW) is essential * Strong experience working within Harrods * Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance * Strong commercial awareness and KPI management * Excellent clienteling and relationship‑building skills * High level of professionalism and attention to detail * Strong communication and leadership presence * A genuine passion for fashion, with a strong understanding of couture, fashion history, and styling * Current or very recent experience within Harrods (within the last 12 months) is mandatory.
