The Team
Launched in 2010, our well-established, high performing and busy Transaction Services Team (TST) help Addleshaw Goddard deliver a world class service to its clients. We were the first team of its kind in the UK and continue to innovate by delivering work in the most efficient way, saving our clients time and money. We are now one of the Firm's biggest groups, with our team being made up of apprentices, paralegals, managers and solicitors.

Our team members focus on tasks that are found in a wide variety of legal assignments, but which do not necessarily need to be done by qualified lawyers, including process elements of transactional, advisory and contentious work. We are supported by the use of technology and play a key role in enabling Addleshaw Goddard to respond to client demand for more innovative and better value services.

The Role
The work that comes into the team is varied and no two days will be the same

You would be working for one of our dedicated client teams, supporting the London Employment team whilst being based at our Manchester office. As an embedded paralegal, you would take instructions primarily from our Employment Associates but would also benefit from, and contribute to, the wider TST.

You will be predominantly carrying out work for the Employment Team. The specific Employment assignments you will be working on can include the following:

• managing and/or supporting on a number of unfair dismissal and unlawful deductions claims
• drafting Tribunal forms, including Grounds of Resistance
• drafting settlement agreements and witness statements
• managing electronic data sites, uploading documentation, and liaising with third parties
• creating bundles (in hard copy and electronically) for Tribunal claims and preparing for hearings
• preparing instructions and subsequent correspondence for Counsel
• document review, including e-disclosure, to assess the relevance of a wide range of documentation as part of a tribunal claim including as part of early case assessment, pre-litigation document reviews and large scale document reviews on e-disclosure platforms on litigated matters
• liaising with clients, third parties and the Tribunal, in particular helping manage our client relationships
• reporting periodically for clients on matter status/fees
• proofreading legal documents for quality, consistency and content
• drafting and producing legal documentation and standard forms
• providing support to clients on-site, managing their expectations and keeping them updated
• supporting on large-scale projects
• any additional tasks as required by the business

What we are looking for
Due to the dynamic nature of the work we do and the clients we seek to serve, the role is not an ordinary "9-5" job. • some experience of working in employment law/a related area

Given the nature of the role, previous Employment paralegal experience is preferred.
