Package Description:

The Role

Deliver the kind of General Practice you trained for.

At IC24, we believe great General Practice is about more than appointments. It's about building relationships, working collaboratively and having the time and support to provide high-quality care to your patients.

We're looking for a Salaried GP to join our established Primary Care team, working across our Allied Medical Practices, Church Surgery and School House Surgery, in Brighton.

This is an opportunity to become part of a growing, multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. You'll work alongside experienced GPs, nurses, pharmacists and wider healthcare professionals to provide accessible, proactive primary care while helping shape the future of our services.

Our practices care for patients with a wide range of clinical needs, including long-term conditions, mental health, sexual health, HIV care and women's health. If you have experience or a particular interest in Women's Health, we'd especially like to hear from you.

Alongside routine General Practice, you'll have opportunities to contribute to quality improvement, health promotion, clinical leadership and service development within a supportive organisation that encourages professional growth.

This is a role for a GP who enjoys working collaboratively, values continuity of care and wants to make a genuine difference to the communities they serve.

What you'll be doing

→ Delivering high-quality Primary Care

Providing comprehensive General Practice services through face-to-face and virtual consultations, clinical administration and home visits where appropriate.

→ Working as part of a multidisciplinary team

Collaborating with GPs, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care.

→ Caring for a varied patient population

Managing acute and long-term conditions while supporting patients with complex physical, mental health and social care needs.

→ Supporting prevention and service improvement

Contributing to health promotion, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits and service development to continually improve patient outcomes.

→ Helping shape the future of the practice

Working with colleagues to achieve Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and locally commissioned services while identifying opportunities to improve care.

→ Maintaining excellent clinical standards

Working within GMC guidance, clinical governance frameworks and evidence-based practice while maintaining your own continuing professional development.

Who this role suits

You'll be a GMC-registered GP who enjoys working collaboratively and wants to be part of a supportive, forward-thinking Primary Care team.

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Are registered with the GMC and included on the National Performers List.
  • Have experience or a strong clinical interest in Women's Health.
  • Enjoy managing a varied caseload across all aspects of General Practice.
  • Are confident caring for patients with complex clinical needs, including mental health, HIV and gender reassignment.
  • Value continuity of care and building long-term relationships with patients.
  • Work well within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with colleagues and patients.
  • Are adaptable and willing to work across both practice sites.
  • Are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care.

Let's be honest about the role

General Practice is rewarding, but it can also be demanding.

You'll be caring for patients with a broad range of health needs, balancing face-to-face consultations, telephone appointments, clinical administration and occasional home visits. Some clinics will be busy, and you'll regularly be making complex clinical decisions while managing competing priorities.

Working across two practice sites also requires flexibility and good communication with colleagues.

What cannot easily be taught is clinical judgement, compassion and a genuine commitment to providing excellent patient care.

If you bring those qualities, you'll find a supportive team, experienced colleagues and an organisation that values your contribution.

Why IC24?

As a not-for-profit social enterprise, everything we do is focused on improving patient care.

Our Primary Care teams are supported to work collaboratively, develop specialist interests and contribute to service improvement while maintaining high clinical standards.

You'll join an organisation that invests in its people, encourages innovation and recognises the importance of creating an environment where clinicians can build rewarding, sustainable careers.

Who are we?

We are Integrated Care 24 (IC24), the leading not-for-profit Social Enterprise providing innovative and patient-focused primary care services.

IC24 is committed to improving access to health and social care for our patients and reducing demand on secondary care services. We provide services to over six million patients, including GP Out of Hours, NHS 111, Primary Care and Integrated Urgent Care services.

Every day, our people help patients access the care they need, when they need it most.

What's in it for you?

  • Salary of £84,660 per annum based on a 6-session week.
  • £14,110 per session annually, including paid administration time between clinical sessions.
  • Opportunity to join the NHS Pension Scheme.
  • Additional annual leave above the statutory minimum based on service.
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave and pay.
  • Employee Assistance Programme including free 24/7 counselling and occupational health support.
  • Professional development and continuing education opportunities.
  • Free access to our employee rewards and discount platform.
  • Blue Light Card and NHS discount schemes.

Location: Allied Medical Practice – School House Surgery & Church Surgery, Brighton (cross-site working required)

Hours: 4–6 sessions per week (28.5 hours for 6 sessions), preferably Monday to Wednesday.

Due to the nature of this position, employment is subject to proof of eligibility to work in the UK, a satisfactory enhanced DBS check with barred list checks and satisfactory references.

We're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels they belong.
