Closing date: Tuesday 19th May
We’re hiring a Finance Manager to join Royal London Asset Management’s FP&A team, playing a key role in producing high‑quality management accounts, MI and insight for senior leaders, ExCo and Board.
You’ll lead the monthly management accounts and MI cycle, partner closely with senior stakeholders including the CFO and CEO, and take ownership of business planning and forecasting activity during some of the most strategically important points in the year.
With responsibility for people management, exposure to senior decision‑makers, and the opportunity to develop and enhance systems, data and planning processes (including Anaplan, data visualisation and AI‑enabled tools), this is a high‑impact role for a qualified finance professional with asset management experience who’s ready to step into a visible and influential position.
About the role
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of monthly Management Information (MI) to ExCo and the RLAM Boards, setting direction and ensuring consistently high-quality outputs, with effective oversight of all functional MI packs.
- Drive a deep understanding of P&L performance, ensuring variances to Plan, Forecast and prior periods are fully articulated, with clear linkage to underlying business drivers.
- Manage the end-to-end business planning and forecasting process, including governance, timelines and stakeholder engagement, supported by robust and insightful analysis.
- Act as a senior point of contact for the CFO and Group Finance, leading responses on AuM, revenue, flows and expenses, and providing clear, insightful interpretation of financial performance.
- Provide oversight of Financial Control activities, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of monthly accruals and strengthening control environment standards.
- Lead the consolidation, review and challenge of FP&A analyst outputs, ensuring consistency, quality and alignment to the overall financial narrative.
- Manage and develop a team of three, providing direction, coaching and performance oversight to ensure high-quality delivery and progression of team capability.
- Own the production of entity-level analysis for Plan & Forecast, delivering insight to support senior decision-making.
- Partner closely with Commercial Finance and senior business stakeholders
About you
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA), with strong post‑qualification experience in FP&A or management accounting
- Asset management (or closely related financial services) experience – this is essential due to the speed at which the role needs to operate and the stakeholder environment
- People management experience, with responsibility for developing and overseeing direct reports within a finance team
- Proven experience leading the monthly management accounts and MI cycle, including variance analysis, forecasting and insightful commentary
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, taking ownership and responsibility
- Tenacious and ‘can do’ attitude
- Willingness to challenge and contribute to change
- Thorough approach and attention to detail
- Manage relationships effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders
