Video Editor & Content Creator - Volunteer Join to apply for the Video editor & Content creator - Volunteer role at Afrikindness We are looking for video editors & content creators to produce content for our social platforms to promote the charity, its work, thereby bringing that needed awareness to help us engage our audiences, and encourage site visits. What difference will you make? Duties * Editing raw footage * Film production * Adding music and sound effects to videos * Adding text and graphics to videos * Animation and visual effects * Editing existing videos Through your work, you will be contributing to the work we do, bringing awareness to the mental health issues children face, the lack of empathy, issues with bullying, hatred, racism, and the effect on children, especially of black heritage, and what Afrikindness is doing to tackle those issues. We want someone who is passionate about children and young adults, and looking to make a difference. We are looking for people who will join the team and progress to an Executive position. Key Skills * Interested in childrens wellbeing, community projects, and sustainability issues. * Experience in a social media role or using social media channels, in particular, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. * Skilled at creating engaging digital content for social media, including videos. * Strong creative skills – a visually creative individual. * Innovative and generate ideas for the team. * Understands our needs and passion. * Passionate about social media trends. * Collaborating with our Marketing team and Social Media team. * Ability to suggest new ideas for content, creative, imaginative, and inventive with video content. * Ability to quickly understand the needs of our team / organization / users. What will you be doing? Afrikindness is looking to increase its global reach through compelling video content. We are looking for experienced content creators with a passion for children/ young adults and a proactive approach to work. You must be committed to the cause and have the availability to create content for social media pages. You will be working with a friendly social media team globally. You will be working with a Media team alongside other volunteers who will help develop marketing content and will provide an overview of our existing communication and marketing materials, our content strategy, and brand guidelines. * We seek someone who is talented in video editing, Reels/Tik Tok video creation for our Instagram and Tik Tok platform and can help increase awareness of our platform, and projects and inform people of our mission. * We are looking for someone to edit simple videos, make reels, merge videos with slides and images, add subtitles and effects, create video presentations, edit small videos for social media posts, and other small pieces of work.
