Position Overview: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced SEN team to support students with a range of learning needs. From providing one-on-one assistance to adapting learning materials, your role will be pivotal in ensuring that every student receives the tailored support they require to succeed. Key Responsibilities: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant * Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement individualised learning plans for students with SEN. * Provide direct support to students inside and outside the classroom, including assistance with * classroom activities, homework, and personal care tasks as needed. * Adapt and modify learning materials to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN. * Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected. * Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians. * Assist with the implementation of behaviour management strategies and interventions. * Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN education. Qualifications and Requirements: * Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, Special Education or a STEM or humanities subject. * Genuine passion for working with children and young people, especially those with SEN. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. * Patience, empathy, and resilience when faced with challenges. * Previous experience working with individuals with SEN is desirable but not essential.
