Job description
Part Time Veterinary Nurse – Bournemouth Up to £39,000 pro rata DOE plus benefits About Vets Now Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, serving over 1700 veterinary practices through 60 plus dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. Our Bournemouth clinic has been caring for your pets since 2010 and the RCVS has accredited the clinic a Small Animal Emergency Service Clinic, reflecting the clinics ability to handle emergency and critical care cases without an appointment. Understanding your key role Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include: * First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic. * Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care. * Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity. Key requirements * RCVS registered for a minimum of six months. * Motivated to maintain high clinic standards. * Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets. * Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous. Working pattern Week 1: Saturday from 18:00 to 09:00 Week 2: Off Week 3: Monday from 18:00 to 09:00 Week 4: Monday, Wednesday and Sunday from 18:00 to 09:00 Week 5: Friday from 18:00 to 09:00 Week 6: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 to 09:00 Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.
