Job description
Care home: Wytham Lodge Location: Wytham Street, Padiham, Burnley, BB12 7DX Contract type: Full time, 42 hours per week on days Rate: £23.65 per hour Unit Manager – Wytham Lodge care home This is an exciting opportunity to use your nursing leadership skills to make a real difference every day. In this role, you’ll work at a senior level, under the leadership of the Clinical Nurse Manager, to manage a team of nursing and care colleagues, drive quality and maintain high standards of care on your unit. Responsibilities * Lead your unit’s care and nursing teams to meet medical, physical, and emotional needs of residents. * Provide strong leadership to maintain and continuously develop high standards of care and drive continuous improvement. * Oversee and manage all of the unit’s clinical elements and risks. * Ensure care plans and risk assessments are completed, reviewed in a timely manner, and reflect care interventions appropriately. * Act as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you, with responsibility for oversight, review, and update of their care profiles. * Supervise the ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording, and disposal of medication. * Identify with the values of fun, integrity, responsiveness, success, and teamwork. * Be a natural role model, able to manage a team of Registered Nurses, Nurse Associates, and Health Care Assistants. Qualifications and Experience * First-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN. * Post-registration and management or supervisory experience and/or training or qualifications. * Good understanding of best practice in nursing care. * Excellent clinical and communication skills. * Enthusiastic approach to encouraging and motivating people. * Ability to work confidently on your own initiative. * Good standard of digital skills.
