Test Analyst

We are looking for a Fixed Term Test Analyst to join us on the Next-Generation SAP project. We have kicked off the project to upgrade our current SAP systems to the next generation. The role of a test analyst on this project is: to understand what the requirements of the business are for the new solution, create test scenarios based upon how the new solution will meet the business requirements, execute scripted test cases and capture test evidence, log and report any issues in the form of defects, report test results and progress to key stakeholders in the project. Click here to read about The Greggs Pledge * Colleague Networks – internal groups where colleagues and their allies can share their own experiences, offer feedback on the way we do things at Greggs, and provide support to one another About the role * This is a full-time, 12 Month Fixed Term role * We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role * The base location for this role isInnovate House, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.Ideally, you’ll live within one hour travel of this area What you'll do * Script, execute, and maintain manual test cases in Microsoft Azure DevOps based on functional and technical specifications. * Perform system, integration, and regression testing. * Identify and track defects using Microsoft Azure DevOps, and support with re-test and closure. * Collaborate closely with developers, functional consultants, and Greggs business leads to understand requirements and ensure test coverage. * Peer reviewing test cases to ensure scripting standards and good test coverage is being met. About you * We are looking for someone that is highly skilled in the testing arena who has worked at a senior level for at least 2 years * Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. * Clear and effective communication skills. * Be very knowledgeable in testing fundamentals (such as Risk-based testing approach) and ‘shift left’ testing principles * Proficiency with test management tools (e.g. Microsoft Azure DevOps, JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail). * Values collaboration and teamwork, has a desire to contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing team * Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative * Have strong analytical and problem solving skills with experience of analysing information and issues to identify current and potential problems and develop and implement workable solutions * Enjoy being part of a hard‑working team, sharing the same end goal, and celebrating results together * Are supportive of an inclusive culture – recognising and valuing that difference is good * Want to develop and are ready to work alongside some great people and have lots of fun on your Greggs journey! * Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4 HANA modules (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement). * Experience with other SAP products (e.g. EWM, CAR, IBP) * Experience with Tricentis Tosca or other module-based automation tools. * Understanding of retail and supply chain business processes within SAP environments. * Have an ISTQB Foundation or other qualification About Greggs Here at Greggs, we love what we do, and we have fun!
