Lydiard Park Academy is seeking an exceptional and motivated Teaching Assistant to join a Trust which truly values its staff and provides a highly supportive environment. The post holder will work as part of a team to promote the emotional, physical and educational development of pupils, including those with special needs, and work in partnership with parents.

Salary: £25,600 gross per annum (pro rata)- £17,278 gross per annum (actual)

Hours: Part time - 29.17 hours per week - term time only (39 weeks per year)

Job title: Teaching Assistant - Mainstream

Role reports to: Assistant Principal (SEND)/ Head of ASC Centre

The Role: This role is a pivotal one in the academy’s future journey, as our newly appointed Teaching Assistant will help to continue to build upon the successes of our Trust. The successful candidate will form part of the support team and will work closely with the Assistant Principal (SEND), other senior leaders and all staff across the school.

It cannot be stressed enough that this post involves work which can be of a highly confidential nature. It is essential that no school business is discussed outside the classroom. Mainstream Teaching Assistant will support students from years 7 – 11 across the curriculum as directed by the Centre Manager.

Job Purpose:

Under the direction of the Principal, Teacher or Special Education Needs & Disability Lead / Coordinator, work as part of a team to promote the emotional, physical and educational development of pupils, including those with special needs, and work in partnership with parents.Why choose us?
