Role Overview
We are hiring a Transcriptionist to convert audio and video into accurate written records. The role demands a sharp ear, fast fingers, and the discipline to deliver clean, formatted transcripts on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio and video files into accurate written transcripts
- Edit AI-generated transcripts for accuracy, formatting, and speaker attribution
- Format transcripts according to client style guides and templates
- Flag inaudible sections, technical terms, and named entities for review
- Meet daily turnaround targets while maintaining accuracy benchmarks
- Maintain confidentiality of all transcription content
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 1+ years in transcription, captioning, or related work
- Typing speed of 70+ WPM with high accuracy
- Excellent written English including grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Familiarity with transcription tools (Express Scribe, Otter, Rev, oTranscribe)
- Ability to maintain focus during long-form audio
- Comfort handling sensitive or confidential material
