Job description
Are you an expert mathematician ready to challenge students with complex problem-solving and rigorous academic inquiry? We are seeking a Maths Teacher to join a highly regarded independent school in Sheffield. Highly regarded independent school in Sheffield Full-time permanent role (Further Maths specialism desirable) September start The successful candidate will inspire students to explore the beauty and logic of Mathematics across all Key Stages. You will deliver a curriculum that balances fundamental numerical fluency with high-level abstract reasoning, preparing students for GCSE, A-Level, and potentially Further Mathematics. The department prizes a deep conceptual understanding, and you will have the opportunity to lead students through national challenges, such as the UKMT. You will be responsible for fostering a classroom environment that encourages resilience and intellectual curiosity. School Information This Sheffield-based school is known for its academic rigour and its exceptional success in placing students into STEM degrees at Russell Group universities. The Maths department is a flagship faculty, supported by modern digital tools and a collaborative team of subject specialists.
