Job description
Are you a forward-thinking DT specialist ready to inspire the next generation of designers and engineers? We are seeking a Design and Technology Teacher to join a high-performing academy in Exeter. High-Performing Academy in Exeter Full-time permanent role (Product Design / Engineering focus) September start The DT Teacher will deliver a dynamic curriculum that challenges students to solve complex design problems using a variety of materials and modern technologies. You will teach across all key stages, with a particular focus on Product Design at GCSE and A-Level. Your role involves managing a well-equipped workshop environment and guiding students through the design process from initial concept to final prototype. You will be proficient in CAD/CAM software and traditional hand-tool skills, helping students to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical engineering. Experience and Qualifications Qualified Teacher Status and a specialist degree in Design, Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and a meticulous approach to Health and Safety. Strong workshop skills and experience in delivering high-quality project work. Proven experience in supporting students through their non-exam assessments (NEA). Salary Highly competitive salary paid to the MPS/UPS scale.
