Job description
School Administrator – Exceptional Secondary School – Chelmsford (Essex) Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale We are seeking a highly organised and proactive School Administrator to join an exceptional secondary school in Chelmsford. This is a key role supporting the efficient day-to-day running of the school, ensuring that administrative systems are accurate, effective and responsive to the needs of staff and students. The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative support across departments, acting as a central point of coordination for communication, data management and operational processes. You will play an important role in ensuring that the school runs smoothly and that all stakeholders are supported effectively. This role requires strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive administrative support across the school • Maintain accurate student and staff records using school systems • Manage communication with parents, staff and external agencies • Support attendance monitoring and reporting • Assist with scheduling, events and school operations • Ensure efficient office procedures and systems Requirements: • Previous administrative experience (school experience desirable) • Strong organisational and time management skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • High level of IT proficiency • Attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible
