About the role
Teaching Assistants (TAs) will supplement academic lectures through the delivery of group teaching (for example, in seminars and workshops) and associated duties for students taking modules in the School of Management. Associated duties may include marking of coursework and exams.
The post holder will report to the leader of the module (s) they support, and the appointment will be available from 21st September to 30 June .
Salary is £ per hour plus an additional market supplement of £ per hour, making a total of £ per hour (please note, marking is paid at different rates depending on the type of marking and length of scripts).

About you
The ideal candidate will be educated to Master’s level, or hold equivalent or professional qualifications and experience, in Finance, Accounting and Economics. They will demonstrate a broad knowledge base, with the ability to connect different perspectives and ways of understanding complex issues. In addition, they will have knowledge of causal inference methods and an appreciation of their relevance in analytics and data-driven decision-making processes, alongside experience in teaching areas such as systems dynamics or scenario and futures studies.
They will also possess an excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, email and the internet. The successful candidate will be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation, enabling them to engage confidently with students as well as academic and administrative staff at all levels. Strong organisational and time management skills are essential, supported by a keen attention to detail.
