Job description


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Behaviour Support Assistant to join one of our partnered schools in Blackpool. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting young people with behavioural, emotional, or social needs to succeed in education. You will work alongside teachers and pastoral teams to help pupils engage positively in learning and develop essential life skills.
This position can be long-term with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional challenges.
  • Implement individual behaviour and support plans in line with school policies.
  • Assist in de-escalating incidents calmly and professionally.
  • Promote positive attitudes, emotional regulation, and engagement in the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to create a safe, structured environment.
  • Record and monitor pupil progress to inform ongoing support.

  • All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
