About the role
Teaching Assistants (TAs) will supplement academic lectures through the delivery of group teaching (for example, in seminars and workshops) and associated duties for students taking modules in the School of Management. Associated duties may include marking of coursework and exams.
The post holder will report to the leader of the module (s) they support, and the appointment will be available from 21st September to 30 June .
Salary is £ per hour plus an additional market supplement of £ per hour, making a total of £ per hour (please note, marking is paid at different rates depending on the type of marking and length of scripts).

About you
The ideal candidate will be educated to Master’s level, or hold equivalent or professional qualifications and experience, in a field relevant to Strategy by Design. They will demonstrate a solid understanding of core strategic management concepts, including competitive advantage, positioning and industry analysis, alongside familiarity with microeconomic reasoning to support the interpretation of strategic decisions and frameworks.
They will also be confident in analysing business cases, with the ability to identify key strategic issues and translate complex ideas into clear, accessible insights. The successful candidate will possess an excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, email and the internet. They will be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation, enabling them to engage with students as well as academic and administrative staff at all levels, and to explain concepts clearly while facilitating discussion.
