Job description
SEN Tutor - Make a Real Difference

Location: Liverpool & Surrounding Regions Pay Scale: £28.00 - £33.00 per hour (P.A.Y.E) Contract: Flexible / Part-time & Full-time opportunities

The Role: Empowering Potential

Randstad is proud to partner with a variety of schools across the region to provide specialist tutoring for SEN pupils. This isn't just about academic support; it's about breaking down barriers to learning and helping students exceed their own expectations of what they can achieve.

You will work closely with students-both face-to-face and online-following individual EHCP plans to build their core knowledge while significantly boosting their confidence and self-esteem.

What's in it for you?

Being a Randstad Tutor offers the ultimate balance between a rewarding career and personal flexibility:

  • Total Flexibility: Manage your own timetable and workload to suit your lifestyle.

  • Variety: Choose between delivering tuition online or in-person.

  • Professional Growth: Access to free e-learning modules and a dedicated online delivery platform.

  • Consistency: Opportunities for year-round work, including school holiday tuition.

  • Impact: A genuine opportunity to drive measurable, life-changing outcomes for pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tailored Tuition: Delivering engaging 1:1 or small group sessions (up to 1:6) that cater to a range of learning styles.

  • Strategic Planning: Creating lesson plans aligned with EHCP objectives and students' specific interests.

  • Progress Tracking: Assessing student development and recording attainment levels via our internal reporting system.

  • Collaboration: Working alongside schools, foster carers, and social workers to ensure a holistic support network.

  • Safeguarding: Operating strictly in accordance with KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines.

Who are we looking for?

We want to hear from inspiring QTS/NQTs, Teaching Assistants (Level 1-3), HLTAs, or Graduates eager to start a career in education.

Essential Qualities:

  • At least 6 months of experience working with SEN, disengaged youth, or within alternative provisions.

  • The ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and empathy.

  • Strong IT competency (laptop/computer access and stable broadband for online sessions).

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to acquire one).

  • An inspirational communication style that motivates and encourages students.

Ready to join our team?

If you have the passion to help students grow and the skills to guide them through their academic journey, we want to hear from you today.
