  • Support the Centre Manager and Lead Nurse in developing, implementing, and reviewing clinical action plans.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, person-centred recovery and detoxification programmes.
  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments, including triage, risk assessments, and structured withdrawal monitoring using tools such as COWS and CIWA-Ar.
  • Administer and manage prescribed medications, including Librium, in line with clinical protocols, monitoring effectiveness and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Provide direct clinical care and develop, implement, and review individualised treatment and detox plans.
  • Act as a first responder to clinical and medical emergencies, following escalation and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation, including case notes, MAR charts, and statutory records.
  • Participate in clinical audits, service reviews, and service-user feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Support nurse inductions and provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to newly appointed staff.

  • Ensure high standards are maintained across the clinical environment, including accommodation, cleanliness, catering, and maintenance

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in detoxification, substance misuse, mental health, or acute clinical settings.
  • Strong working knowledge of withdrawal management tools (e.g. COWS, CIWA-Ar) and detox medications such as Librium.
  • Confident in risk assessment, triage, and emergency response.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accurate clinical record-keeping.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in addiction or residential rehabilitation services.
  • Experience supporting or supervising junior staff.
  • Knowledge of clinical audit processes and quality improvement frameworks.
