Job description
Accountant Limavady - £50,000 + (Salary depending on experience) Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Accountant to join a growing and dynamic organisation within the engineering and infrastructure sector. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in a fast-paced, evolving business environment where innovation and collaboration are highly valued. Benefits: *Early finish every Friday (12 pm) *Life assurance (3x salary) *Private medical insurance (with option to add family) *Generous annual leave entitlement (30 days) *Supportive and rewarding workplace culture *Ongoing professional development opportunities Duties: *Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary *Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning activities *Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness *Assist with statutory accounts preparation and external audit processes *Monitor financial performance and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making *Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of financial controls and processes *Collaborate with internal teams to support operational and commercial objectives *Provide support with tax compliance, including VAT, PAYE, and customs requirements *Undertake additional duties as required within the finance function Criteria: *Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) *12 years post-qualification experience, ideally within industry *Strong technical accounting knowledge *Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems *Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills *Proactive and adaptable, with an interest in working in a growth-focused environment If youre a motivated, newly qualified accountant looking to take the next step in your career, this role offers excellent exposure, progression, and the chance to be part of a forward-thinking organisation.
