A Catholic secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking to appoint a French Teacher to join its Modern Foreign Languages department from September. This role offers the opportunity to teach within a values-led environment where language learning is supported as part of a broad and balanced curriculum.
French remains an important subject within the school, with students encouraged to develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing through structured lessons and regular practice.
You will be responsible for delivering French lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students build their understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and conversational skills. Lessons will focus on supporting language fluency while developing cultural awareness and communication skills.
You will support students preparing for GCSE French examinations, helping them develop confidence in both written and spoken assessments.
The role includes working collaboratively within the Modern Foreign Languages department to maintain consistency in curriculum delivery and student progress.
Teach French across KS3 and KS4
Deliver lessons covering grammar, vocabulary, and speaking skills
Support students preparing for GCSE French examinations
Assess student work and provide structured feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Contribute to shared departmental planning
Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
Support wider language learning activities where required
