Job description
Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – SEND School Birmingham | Full-Time | Immediate Start / September Start Available Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and specialist school in Birmingham for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils with Autism, SEMH needs, communication difficulties and complex learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is caring, resilient and committed to helping children thrive both academically and personally in a highly supportive environment. The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and wider professionals to provide tailored support to pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them access learning, regulate emotions, build confidence and achieve their individual targets. You will support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping to create a safe, engaging and positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Support pupils with SEND including Autism, SEMH and complex needs Deliver learning support on a 1:1 and small group basis Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour Adapt resources and tasks to meet individual needs Support communication, emotional regulation and social development Monitor progress and contribute to pupil records Work collaboratively with teachers, ther...
