Location: Burnley\n
Contract Up to £55,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits

\nA growing and well-regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Will Writer / Private Client Solicitor to join its expanding Private Client team in Burnley.\n
\n
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and professional environment, managing a varied caseload of wills, probate, and estate planning matters with real autonomy and career development opportunities.\n

The Role
\n
\nYou will manage a broad range of private client matters, including wills, probate, trusts, and estate administration, providing high-quality legal advice and excellent client care.\n
\n
Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Drafting simple and complex wills, including those involving trusts and estate planning structures
    • \n
  • Preparing and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA)
    • \n
  • Managing estate administration from initial instruction through to final distribution
    • \n
  • Applying for grants of probate and letters of administration
    • \n
  • Advising on inheritance tax planning and post-death planning strategies
    • \n
  • Handling trusts, including establishment and ongoing administration
    • \n
  • Advising clients with sensitivity and professionalism in often vulnerable circumstances
    • \n
  • Maintaining accurate case management and compliance with firm procedures
    • \n
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
    • \n
Requirements\n

\nEssential:\n
\n
    \n
  • Experience as a Will Writer or Private Client Solicitor
    • \n
  • Strong knowledge of wills, probate, and estate administration
    • \n
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently
    • \n
  • Excellent communication and client-care skills
    • \n
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
    • \n
Desirable:\n

    \n
  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
    • \n
  • Experience in trusts and inheritance tax planning
    • \n
  • STEP qualification or working towards
    • \n
