Job description
Overview of the Role

As a Senior Outsourced Accountant working in Beaconsfield within a modern accountancy practice, you will take responsibility for supporting a varied portfolio of clients across outsourced finance services. This is a hands-on position combining technical accounting, client communication, and the review of work produced by junior team members.

You will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high standards across management accounts and VAT deliverables, while also supporting clients with their day-to-day financial queries and cloud accounting systems within a growing accountancy environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Reviewing management accounts prepared by junior team members to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Checking VAT returns across a range of schemes including standard, flat rate, cash accounting and partial exemption
  • Supporting clients with bookkeeping queries and providing clear, practical guidance
  • Assisting with onboarding clients onto cloud accounting systems and supporting system migrations
  • Delivering training and support on accounting software and processes
  • Acting as a key point of contact for client communication and job completion
  • Providing constructive feedback to support team development and improve quality standards
  • Helping to manage workloads effectively to meet deadlines and expectations
