Job description

Every child deserves someone in their corner. Teaching Personnel is recruiting dedicated, compassionate SEN Support Staff to work in schools across Horsham for the new academic year starting September 2026.

This is a genuinely rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and a range of additional learning needs. If you believe every young person can thrive with the right support, this role was made for you.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
  • Supporting academic learning and emotional development
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and SENCOs
  • Helping to foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Delivering tailored interventions to promote confidence and independence

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, or voluntary settings all welcomed)
  • A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant qualifications an advantage, but transferable experience warmly considered

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
