About the role…

Are you an experienced MOT Motor Vehicle Technician looking for more than just another workshop job?

Fancy working from our brand new Renault/Dacia state of the art workshops?

Join one of the UK's fastest-growing motor groups and become part of a business that genuinely invests in its people. Whether you're looking to develop your technical skills, progress into a Senior or Master Technician role, or future-proof your career with industry-leading EV training, we'll help you get there.

As an MOT Motor Vehicle Technician, you'll carry out MOT testing, servicing, repairs and maintenance across a wide range of vehicles, ensuring every customer receives a first-class experience and leaves with complete confidence in their vehicle.

Through manufacturer-accredited training and continuous support, you'll have every opportunity to develop your career, gain specialist qualifications and progress to Senior and Master Technician status.

At Stoneacre, we don't just offer a job—we offer a career with real opportunities to grow.

As the automotive industry continues to evolve, we're proud to be leading the way in Electric Vehicle training, giving you the skills and knowledge to stay ahead of the industry.

Working in our state-of-the-art workshop, you'll receive ongoing manufacturer and in-house training, the latest diagnostic equipment and the support you need to reach your full potential while helping us continue our journey to becoming the UK's Number One Motor Group.

Do we have your interest…?

At Stoneacre, we know our people are our greatest asset. That's why we've created an environment where you can develop your career, be recognised for your contribution and enjoy coming to work every day.

Here's what you can look forward to:

  • A flexible approach to working patterns - Choose your own hours! We are happy to discuss all flexible working options to help you achieve the work life balance that suits you
  • Industry leading competitive salary
  • Industry leading top level bonuses

An average day as a MOT Motor Vehicle Technician…

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of vehicles.
  • Complete all work efficiently and accurately, meeting manufacturer, franchise and company quality standards.
  • Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and perform vehicle testing using the latest equipment and technology.
  • Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables while maintaining accurate records and producing clear, professional job write-ups for both customers and manufacturers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop, following all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify and communicate vehicle faults and future maintenance requirements through Vehicle Health Checks and our Video Health Check process, helping customers make informed decisions.

About you…

  • We welcome applications from technicians with experience in the automotive industry who are passionate about delivering high-quality work.
  • You'll hold a minimum Level 2 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, together with a valid MOT Tester Licence.
  • You'll be a great communicator who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering an excellent customer experience.
  • You'll be confident working in a busy workshop environment, using your technical expertise to diagnose problems and find effective solutions.
  • An Electric and Hybrid qualification would be an advantage, but it's not essential—we'll provide full training and support.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Most importantly, you'll take pride in your work, enjoy being part of a team and be motivated to continue developing your skills and career.
